The total gutting of the interior is complete.. including the hot tub that was located in the middle of the aircraft, it is no more. We've removed what seemed to be and likely was miles of old original aircraft wiring along with very poorly installed 110 wiring used during the original build.

Here's a photo of the rear after it had been deconstructed from the original rocket ship look (former design theme). The fake rockets etc have been removed and the rear will be clad in new riveted aircraft aluminum.

Kicking off some incremental fabrication posts starting right at the beginning. In these photos, you’re seeing the early stages of the front end build. The original vehicle never had true front fenders—just some winged aluminum protrusions mounted above the front tires (you can still spot the outlines where they used to be). They sat so high they barely functioned as fenders or wheel wells. Above those you will see the original headlights. They were designed to pop out with a push of a button from inside the cockpit. As you can see we kept those but we opted to add two modern all in one lights that have low/high beam lights and turn signals in a all in one unit. Now, our master fabricator has installed two proper front fender wheel wells—originally from a big rig—which fit the look and function perfectly. You’ll also notice the placement of one of the two new headlight units on the driver’s side. These headlights were originally made for a Peterbilt truck, but they’re a perfect match for our build. Let’s have some fun and watch this front end fabrication come to life!

Even airplanes get nose jobs! When RV Force One was first manufactured it had a short nose cone (photo top left). However, when radar was introduced they needed a place to put it..so you guessed it, they decided to elongate the nose (photo bottom left) and put it there. We weren't sure how they achieved this until we cut into the existing nose (top right photo) the thought of lopping off the nose was definitely nerve-wracking but to our surprise we found that the old nose was still there (bottom right photo). The manufacturer just built a new nose over the old nose, brilliant! Unfortunately, that nose just didn't look right either compared to President Trump's airplane Trump Force One. So in our unending quest to make this as similar to Trump Force One as possible, we are cutting off the original and the elongated nose. We will then fabricate an entirely new nose cone to achieve the desired look.

This week we have worked on three areas of RV Force One. The nose cone exoskeleton has been fabricated and we have attached it to the existing nose cone area. In the last photo you'll see the first piece of the nose cone has been fabricated from aluminum. We've also started servicing the numerous mechanical systems (engine, transmission, brakes and etc). In addition we have continued working on the interior. Inside the cockpit we are making all new bulkhead panels that will be used to attach the new upholstery material...Stay tuned more changes are coming!
